Happy New Year!!!

Good afternoon,
Well it is almost that time for the count down to begin!!!  Good bye 2011 and Hello 2012 - I wish you all good health and happiness in the new year!
I have made the below card for a couple of challenges.
I was inspired to complete a New Year card because of the season and started with a sketch from  Mojo Monday - I don't know why but my cards and LO's never look like the sketch by the end.  I guess that is why they are just inspirations.

They did challenge me to make a square card which I have never done before so this is something completely new to me. Being a new technique I was able to enter the card into some additional challenges (see below) I also used something old - the striped paper.  Seriously I am not sure when I even picked up that pack... I have been scrappin for at min. 15 years... and it has been around for a while but I was glad to use up some of my stash.
So if you are a follower of mine you have picked up that I am a new owner of some Peachy Keen Stamps!  Had to add the stamps to the bottle!!  He looks so joyful - I also used the color scheme for their challenge
I used three different cartridges for the card - frame and card with Close to my heart Art Philosophy, Simply Charmed for the bottle and Jubilee for the glasses (first time using Jubilee - it was free from Michael's with the purchase of two cartridges - not a bad buy) - Stamp set is from Close to my Heart
I used some beads that I had around from my daughters stash to make the bubbles in the glasses and some of the bubbles escaping from the glass - stickles on the bubbles coming out of the bottle - ribbon to go around the bottle with some bling from Close to my heart - Inked the edges with marker and used the inside of the frame for the inside of the card. Voila... card made

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Catch the bug - inspired by a photo
Crazy about Cricut - anything goes
Cards by Jovan - happy new year
totally paper crafts - time to party
shabby tea room - red, blue, yellow green
jelly park - old and new

Joyful stamper - anything goes
Aud Sentiments - anything goes
DYSU Challenge - rainbow of color
For Fun Challenges - something new
Cute Card Thursday - Happy New year
4 Crafty Chicks - Something new
little red wagon - something new

Y party!

We had our holiday party this year at Carmen's banquet hall.  So much fun!!
They set up a couple of photo booths and some costumes... my boss and I jumped in at first opportunity.
I misted with red and white hoping to get a pink effect but it still looks pretty good.

I used Sophisticated Cricut cartridge for the star and banner
bling added from close to my heart - I made the tickets with the art philosophy cart and November stamp of the month!! love the monthly tickets!!
another shot of the bling!!!  oh and of course stickles!!
I used a sketch from sketches in Thyme #63
I would also like to submit my LO into the following challenges:

2010- izzy christmas hat and sweater

Good evening everyone..
As you can tell I have been able to get some well deserved time in my scraproom!  Below is a LO I have completed for a couple of challenges:
Moving Along with the times asked to craft with a cat or a dog... so I picked my Izzy.  She looks so cute in her new hat and sweater.... but I don't think she thought it was a good idea!!!
To cover the date in the newspaper I used a sticker from Echo Park - holly jolly I believe it is called. Since I  didn't use any stamps (I must say was very painful) but I am now able to enter this LO into the unstampaBelles challenge - plus receive a bonus as I used a sticker!!

I used the sketch from Creative scrappers#186  I didn't want to cover up the beautiful pp that a friend gave me so I used the organza ribbon allowing you to see the paper after and yet not derailing from the sketch too much.

I would also like to submit this LO into the Anything goes challenges:
mark's finest papers
Top Tip Tuesday

Again thanks for stopping by and i appreciate all your comments
Sending hearts out to each and everyone of you!!!

Shawn RD Clark

Good afternoon everyone!!! With the holidays winding down I was able to get into my craft room to put together a LO for two challenges being held at Scraptastic club - I am not sure if I am able to submit one LO for two challenges but it fits for both :)

Scraptastic club challenge #2
A special LO for one person with their name in the tile, journaling and four pictures
this LO is for the birth of my brother in 1974 - as you can tell by some of the old style of clothing... boy my mom really rocked the earth tone swirls - my journaling is in the hidden tag - here is a close up
recipe challenge -
3 pattern papers - check
1 card stock - check
2 - different alphas - check
3 pictures - check
stickles - check
here is a close up of the stickles and the really cute frames I received in a RAK - I used a rub-on for the sentiment inside the frames... too cute

Studio Calico also has a challenge on for making clusters - I am trying to branch out and do more layering... but it is still new to me.  I have clustered the frames with the SEI embellishments I received in a different RAK

For the sketch I used one from Sketches in thyme #62 - I did have to make some variations - double LO as  I had two many pics

Thanks for stopping by and love the comments and any suggestions you might have
