LM - leaving footprints behind

Good Morning everyone...

It has been sunny all week and now over cast :( Of course my daughter comes back from Cuba tomorrow!!

We have another challenge for you at Lasting Memories Challenge Blog
This one is all about footprints.... people, animals, birds... any prints you can think of.
When I first hear of the challenge the pictures that popped into my mind were of the bears I met during a visit to my bestest friend's place in Alberta Canada.  I always wanted to see the mountains so we took off to Waterton lakes, on our drive into the lake I was able to see two bears up close (thankfully in the car).  After lunch we decided to take a small hike to a smaller lake .  Walking up the hill we were going slow and around a bend when sitting right in front of us was the largest GRIZZLY BEAR I had ever seen... needless to say I didn't stick around for pictures....

I used this sketch from Page Maps

popped up the bears foot prints and used my viva pens to add some dimension to the numbers and some faux stitching around the ribbons to make them pop
In the below photo you can see the misting I did on the bear prints and the hidden journal ....
I used my stamps to create the title with a little help from my cricut.
Of course you all know the song... the other day...
I met a bear...  a great big bear oh way up there...
Reminds me of my camp days... loved that song
A shot of the black and brown bear that I saw from the car!
I hope you take the time this week to join us... if you do then you have the opportunity to win..
free digies from digi darla's

LM - Celebrating mom or someone special

Good Morning everyone
Lasting memories has another great challenge for this coming week!
Time to Celebrate mom or someone special in your life, maybe show us how you celebrated your Mother's day.  For the challenge I made this LO of my Nana and I when I was just a baby.   Don't we look alike (teehee). I have very found memories of her.  She was an amazing Nana... becoming my lunch room teacher as a child and always there for me.  I still think that something is missing... maybe a large NANA in the top left above the 1971 in the cream colours... tell me what you all think??
I used my Cricut alphalicious for the Brace

The paper I picked up from my LSS's garage sale.  Oh my there is someone out there that put all my favorite papers into the sale and I spent way too much money - lol
I can't believe how different the colours look in each of these pictures...  the true colour is in between both the pictures.  I added some little dots between the zig zag to add a bit of dimension.
If  you join us at lasting memories this week you will have the opportunity to win...
$20 gift certificate to A2Z Scrapbooking

So kindly donated from our very own Elizabeth - PS - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!

I would also like to enter this LO into the following challenges:

PIO - Mix it up!

Good morning everyone,
Pile it on has another great challenge and I know you will all want to join!  It is called Mix your scales... use a small scale pattern and a big scale pattern on your project.
The prize this week is for 2 jelly Park images.  I love Jelly Park but work was so busy this week that I totally forgot to print out an image (shhhh... don't tell anyone but I have to use my work printer because the one at home is out of ink) here is my card for the challenge - I don't know if it is the computer on the picture but the card seems shorter in the picture.  It is actually a 4.25x5.5 (weird)
As you can see I used the small red dotted pattern and a larger ornaments to mix up my scales!
I love this paper it has some sparkle to it... and they went together so well!! I will double check on the paper and let you know which one it is from.
a little pretty fork bow and voila... a beautiful Christmas card

I would love to enter this card into the following challenges

the pink elephant - dots and stripes
Cute Card Thursday - sparkle
paper and such design - sentiment only
paper pretties - glitter
Friday Mash up - ribbon

May - Happy Holidays??

Hello everyone...
I had lost my mojo for a couple of days and couldn't get back into the swing of it... It was killing me.  Every time I went into my room nothing was pulling me... I tried everything sketches, challenges, playing with new products - nothing... then while playing around this card came and now... bam... mojo back and I also made the card in the below post the same night.
Maybe this card will also bring you some inspiration - now it isn't my favorite but it does look very cute IRL.

Normally I wouldn't use purple and green for my Christmas cards but like I said I was trying out challenges to get the mojo flowing... the colours is for Craft your passion challenge.
I used my cuttle bug for the dry embossing and the tree is heat embossed in a purple colour.  I am now looking at the card and it would have looked better with stitching around the card and around the tree.
The stamp is so old that I don't remember where I picked it up from but I will double check
Christmas Card Challenge - old stamps
I would also like to say these challenges also inspired me to create this beautiful Christmas card in May ;)
Christmas cards all year round - fav song - o Christmas tree
Winter wonderland - embossing
the Friday Mash up - ribbon
