Miss Ewe

helllooooo everyone...
So I have been trying to go though my scraps and my left over peices of paper etc to make things
I am hoping to get my bathroom done but I am having some issues and I don't want to spend any extra money that I don't need to... so my craft wish list is on hold for the moment.
But don't you worry... I have tons planned to do!!
here is one that I did tonight... now the sheep is actually from a swap that I was in on scrapbook.com
added the sentiment from K Andrews - some twine - card stock that I misted... and Voila...
isn't she cute!!!!
i love the bling on the sheep
that sentiment was perfect for this card...
So I did have some challenges in mind when seeking out inspirations...
I am not competitive at all. I just love challenges... the more the better.  And trying to stay with in my style.. that can be tough because I don't do the big flowers with tons of layers... maybe one day I will grow into it but right now this is more me CAS :)
anyhoo... rambling again - here are the challenges

chocolate coffee and cards - down on the farm
stamp and create - September challenge
CAS-ual Fridays - embossing
lexi creations - autumn colours
come and get it challenges - (twine/free/buttons)
lollipop ladies - monochromatic gobstoppers
sentimental sunday - humor me
forever friends - embossing
crafty boots challenge - one (colour)
Getting Cricky with K Andrew - fall - i used fall colours
the stamp man - hot colours
whoopsi daisy - buttons and bows

LMCB- it's in the movies

Good afternoon everyone
Lasting memories has a new challenge this week - lights... camera...action!!!
IN THE MOVIES!!!

So you more than likely don't know this but i grew up as a trekkie - When I was younger I would sit with my dad every week and watch star trek with him.   I still go to all the movies when they come out (usually with my dad) and continue to watch re-runs on TV.   I think I fell in love with Leonard Nimoy... I loved Spock!

So when I made a trip out to visit my best friend in Alberta I had to stop by the town of Vulcan... seriously the cutest little down ever.    Rumor has it that during a baseball game the town was teased by a neighboring town about their ears and called them all Spock and that they were from Vulcan!!
So what did they do... Changed their name!!! LOL  if you don't believe me look it up - any way here is my inspiration for the week
the top pic on the left is of his real ears... I was so excited that i didn't notice the glare  :(
here is what it said below it
ok.. back to the LO... I used my cricut for all the little embellishments
Graphically Speaking
Sophisticated
Wall decor
and Creative memories - this and that for the cute space ship
the paper is Scenic Route - Liberty collection - sorry the store is no longer available :(
I misted and masked the stars with CTMH ink Twlight
 oh.. and foil Thickers

YES that is a bronze mold of Leonard Nimoy's hand

yep... lol.. that i me posing with cardboard John Luc Picard and Riker
i am even wearing Vulcan ears... teehee

Any hoo... I hope you find some inspiration to create with us at Lasting memories.
I also found inspiration from the following challenges:

catch the bug - bugaboo goes to the movies
(bet you didn't think a LO would show up on the challenge!)
Scrap fit -misting with stickers and negatives (the background stars)
the corrosive challenge -myth and magic
(i must say back then it was futuristic but now... maybe more like reality??)
cardz tv - colours
(it isn't a card.. but does fit the challenge please let me know if you won't accept it - i understand)
crafts 4 eternity - vintage toy colours

PIO - Pattern paper

Good morning everyone!!
Wow... the weather has certainly cooled off around here!
Pile it on has another great challenge for you all and an amazing prize a $15 Simon Says Stamp GC!!
the challenge is "pattern paper"  easy peezie - here is my inspiration:

Love how it all came together - I used a fancy pants summers end rub on for the "fall".  All the pattern paper was left overs from fancy pants summer end paper, and  lily bee harvest market.  The beautiful leaves are from what was left of my pack from Amy Tangerine Field house paper leaves

the stamped celebrate is a CTMH stamp set

Challenges that inspired me to make this card:
Pile it on - pattern paper
just keep on creating - anything but Christmas
delicious doodles - celebrations
forever friends - ribbon
raise the bar-celebrate fall
clearly iStamp - leaves
Just words - celebrate

cowboy take me away!

hello.... or should I say "howdy" lol
sometimes i just laugh at my own jokes... I wonder if anyone every really reads the writing on the blogs or if they just look at the pictures for the inspirations???

anyhoo... I made this cute little card - last year I was involved in a swap on scrapbook.com where we swapped out small little embellishments that were made and someone sent me the adorable cowboy boot which I knew would go perfect with the Pink by design stamps that I bought...
 now isn't it just adorable??
the patter paper I believe I was giving from a challenge to crate from ugly paper... this one isn't that bad but hard to work with... it is that flimsy kind of paper.   The stars are cut from my cricut using my art philosophy cart and the stamps in the stars and the X's are CTMH as well
Another full pic of the card
I was inspired to crate this card from the following challenges:
Link up tuesday - pink Cricut
crafty catz - 3 embellishments - 2 paper and 1 image
paper playtime - gingham and die cut

Seriously cute!!!!

OH MY GOODNESS!!!
I can't believe i won these stamps from The Alley Way Stamps - aren't they just the cutest!!!!
I have had this bag cut out for a while and I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it... but I love it as a Sushi bag!!!  Seriously you will be seeing more of this stamp set!
I did some paper piecing to put my little sushi together...

and of course some popping!!
Add some ribbon
such a cute set!!!

Not only was it a joy to work with these stamps I was also inspired by the following challenges:
The alley way stamps - be inspired by the chevrons
crafts 4 enternity - less is more
come on and get it - shades of light
totally stampalicious - anything but a card
Lady bug craft ink - paper piecing
cupcake craft room - pretty pastels

Now I haven't used my flogging material in so long but I thought it would be perfect for this little Lion.  My daughter has always loved the Lion King - the top photo is of a mural I did  on her bedroom wall when she was three and now that she is 20 she has a tattoo "Hakuna Matata"
