May - Happy Holidays??

Hello everyone... 

I had lost my mojo for a couple of days and couldn't get back into the swing of it... It was killing me.  Every time I went into my room nothing was pulling me... I tried everything sketches, challenges, playing with new products - nothing... then while playing around this card came and now... bam... mojo back and I also made the card in the below post the same night.

Maybe this card will also bring you some inspiration - now it isn't my favorite but it does look very cute IRL.  

Normally I wouldn't use purple and green for my Christmas cards but like I said I was trying out challenges to get the mojo flowing... the colours is for Craft your passion challenge.

I used my cuttle bug for the dry embossing and the tree is heat embossed in a purple colour.  I am now looking at the card and it would have looked better with stitching around the card and around the tree. 

The stamp is so old that I don't remember where I picked it up from but I will double check

I have always struggled with monochromatic but it think this is it!

Mother's day from the boys

good evening everyone... 

today I spent the day with some friends making some layouts.  Later in the day I went to take care of my friends boys they wanted to make some cards for their Mom.  Luckily I still had some of my supplies with me.  The boys each picked paper (each the opposite side of the others) added some stickers, bling and then they asked if I could enter their cards into some of my challenges.  Of course I said I would.  Both boys have always loved to craft with me since they were little. Each made their parents a scrapbook for christmas three years ago. Here are their cards.... sorry about the pics they were taken with my iPhone.

LM - Digging for Metal

Good evening everyone...

Lasting memories has a new challenge "Digging for Metal" - Use some kind of metal on your layout - ideas: tgs, staples, brads... and I used eyelets.  I went to Micheals today to buy an eyelet punch kit.  So this is my first layout using it.. love how it turned out!  I have been putting off completeing this LO because I don't have many pictures of my mom... and these ones have her second husband in them. (of course they are their wedding day pics)  Since her death (10 months after their wedding) I don't talk at all to her husband... you could say he was a bit of a jerk to me and my brother when we were only 18 and 14.  But I do love the pics of her and the paper is so pretty.

Another first for me. A pocket card!

Super Cute and I love how it turned out 

 I used a stamp from Close to my heart and the owl is from Create A Critter

 I also used my cuttle bug to emboss the owl  - add some bling, ribbon (recycled from a gift i received) and voila...

Guest Designer - Little Miss Muffet

WOW.... I can't believe that I was asked to be a guest designer for Little Miss Muffet!  Love love love their stamps 

Since I was in Pittsburgh this past week I didn't have much time to get this one together but I love how it turned out!  I started with the digi and made the fairy smaller than the flower.

I poped out the flower and grass patch

added some liquid pearls
