Making a card for a 17 yr old boy is sure tough!
One of my favorite teenagers turned 17 and I made this card for him..
Once in a while when i have a bunch of scrap on my desk I challenge myself to use the items first before moving onto a new project (if you look at the previous projects I completed you will see items for the honeycomb, the letters, the stickers ohhhh and the blue strips are actually from the bottom of a designer paper to show the colour on the opposite site!!!) - and to boot this time it was a guy card i needed... so it took me a bit but it was fun... here is my card
the honeycomb is made with the artbooking cartridge as well as the number 17
and of course the challenges that inspired me....
Fantabulous cricut - ABC123
little scrap pieces - linky party
hiding in my craft room - layers
the cutiepie challenge - boys
unstampables - scraps and stash
What a way to challenge yourself Kim and great way to use your scraps. You did good too not only a great male card but a great teenage card. Thanks for joining in our Scraps and Old Stash challenge at Unstampabelles this month.

You have entered for two of the challenges I am on the team for - clever you! Lollipop Ladies first: love this way you have incorporated the colours here so well. For Unstampabelles - love the way you have used up the positive and negative for different parts of the card. Thanks for sharing with us!

ReplyDeleteGreat Boys card. Thank you for joining us at Lollipop Ladies
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, a teenage "male" card is probably the hardest of all! At least with an adult male, they might be able to stomach a bit of embellishments, but teenagers . . . You did a fabulous job; I think he will really love it. Thanks for playing with the Lollipop Ladies.

ReplyDeleteThis is a great card! love your use and combination of colours and patterns. Hexagons are so now, this card would fit many male occasions. Thanks for taking part in our Scrap/stash challenge at Unstampabelles this month.
