kindergarten - Sarah 1997

Had some time this afternoon to put together another Layout using my supplies from Close to my heart.  I really have been enjoying the stamp so clean and easy to use!  The card stock is amazing to cut with my cricut and it has a white core if I feel like distressing.  This Layout is of my daughter's KG class in 1997.  She looks great in the pic but her friend next to her... lol... mouth hanging wide open.  I didn't want everyone to see the names that are always on the bottom of the class pics but I also wanted to be able to refer to the names if ever needed so I put them on a tab to pull out behind the pic. I hope you enjoy!

Two Layouts - close to my heart products

Good morning everyone,

I have a couple of LO's to share.  I have become a close to my heart consultant and I haven't had time to play around but yesterday I was with a bunch of my scrapbooking friends and pulled out two LO a single and a double (sounds like I am talking baseball).
The frist LO I used the elemental workshop on the go package - love the earth tone colours.  The pictures are very old as you can tell that I am still sportin a mullet!!!!  I just love the facial expressions of my daughter.  I would guess the year to be 1994 or 1995.   The journaling is on the tag behind the picture of us with the duck.  All pictures were taken at Chinguacousy Park in Brampton Ontario

This one I made using the Roxie collection - I loved playing around with the papers and the stamps.. so much fun.  The pictures are of my daughter and her bf during a trip into TO. They had dinner at the CN tower, went to the hockey hall of fame and finished with a concert to see Blink 182.  I am waiting for her to do the journaling for the page.

Blog Challenge

Good evening everyone,

I have joined a group on scrapbook.com where our lovely host Mish provides us weekly inspiration to write about in our blog.

Writing Prompt: Tell us 10 things about yourself that not a lot of people know.

   
With the three options I picked the picture... I was drawn to it at first sight.

It brings a little fear to me as I am afraid of heights and the unknown.  When I was in grade eight my class watched the movie "The Fog"  scared the **** out of me!!  Some times I think I was on the Titanic in a different life because fog and icebergs scare me.  It also could be an unknown thing with the icebergs as well.  did you know that an iceberg is mostly underwater.  We can only see 10% of it above the water... ARGGHH!!!  just thinking about it gives me the shivers.

My daughter and i were snorkeling in Croatia in the sea and I was busy watching the pretty fish when the bottom of the sea fell out of view!!!  Totally gave myself a panic attack - did my daughter stay to help... NO... she swam so fast back to the boat thinking it was a shark that had caused the look of panic on my face.

Well.... that is it for the moment... a little insight to me... have a great night

Almost halloween


So with Halloween fast approaching I don't know if I will be getting in many more Halloween cards.  (maybe I will try to sneak in a couple more tomorrow).
The card was made with Cricut mini monsters  - which had this cute little guy ready for trick or treating,  I added the background pp and some black gems :0)  I hope you like him.

Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater

Here is a quick card I made for two challenges
Simply Betty Stamp: On the seventh day of Halloween
and Simon says stamp Challenge - nursery Rhymes and fairy tales

The cut was made with Cricut Nursery Rhymes
I used the cut to mask the inside and then stamped with Trick or treat on the inside and with a coordinating  colour on the outside card stock.

Celebrate fall

Good Afternoon everyone....

So I didn't get much time today in my scraproom but I did enjoy a visit from my darling father!  Life always comes first.  After my dad left I was able to get in to complete this card for a couple of challenges.  I finally had a reason to open up my Camp out cartridge from Cricut.  I cut the owl at 2 3/4 the tree with mini monsters at "4 and the yellow moon with George circle at 5".  I don't have any of that lovely twine that I see everyone using so I made my own using bakers twine with permanent marker. 

 of course I can't be with out any bling... three little black gems

Gross

Good evening everyone,

When I started to make this card I was looking for a sketch that would work well with the Purple People Eater challenge from Fantabulous Cricut: #82 and found Sassy lil' Sketches: Send off Sketch #2 (so sad that they are leaving and there will be no more sketches... now I will have to seek out someone new :(



I had no idea that this little card would soon become one of my favorites - I love how the little purple guy looks with the googly eyes!  If you don't recognize the Cricut cart it is Mini Monsters as is the title.  The punch is from Martha Stewart, the paper is Cricut celebrations and recollections collections card stock.

Life of the party

Good evening everyone -
I know another posting... I was quite busy this afternoon with my Cricut making one Layout and two cards.  The below card was made using the Mojo Monday Sketch #211.  Seriously when I look at a sketch I think yeah... I can do that... and then BAM my mind ends up taking the sketch into a different form.  I hope I didn't go to far away from the sketch to qualify for the challenge.  I turned the sketch on the side because I wanted to use it also for the challenge at Birthday Sundaes: #31 which was to be a long birthday card.  When looking though my limited stash of ribbons i was limited to only thin ones :(  so with that in mind I used the punch to bring more to the card.  The balloons were added in place of the circle and for the corner piece I added three little bits of bling.


The card was made with Simple stories "Happy Day" kit.   The punch and gems are from
walmart punch and the ribbon is from Micheal's.

Trick or Treat

Good evening everyone,

It has been chilly here and overcast - perfect weather to spend some time in my craft room.  The below layout was inspired from Sassy Lil Sketches: Sassy Send off Sketch #7


To have the LO fit with my pictures I switched it up a bit and turned the sketch on its side. the rectangles were made with the Cricut cartridge George& basic shapes, and the very cute little pumpkin and title was made with  Cricut mini monster.  I used green stickles on the title and pumpkin.  The pumpkin is actually popped out but the picture doesn't show it that well.  I am sorry I didn't take a picture of the pop out.  With the weather the way it is I am having a hard time with the photos.  Because the pumpkin does have a pop out I am entering it into the Lasting memories Scrapbook Layout Challenge #60 - Let's add some dimension!  The pumpkin turned out so cute and I will definitely be using this cut again!  The Paper Variety is having a recipe challenge to use 1 pumpkin, 2 words and 3 buttons because - fingers crossed that they won't consider the "or" as a word... I didn't want to use just trick treat... would have been incomplete!

I picked up a new stamp set from Stampin up- Petite Pairs - love it!!!  I also have to make a card for a company that donated tickets to one of the child care centres for children to go with their families.  It is extremely generous,

I made this Halloween bag for a couple of challenges. Now my daughter is 19 and when I offered for her to take it to the club tonight she politely declined - lol
Thankfully I have a couple of little children in my life that would love this

PA

Good evening everyone,
I have been working with my October Scraptastic Club Kit and love every bit of it!  Take a moment to look at what they have to offer you here.  Originally what I loved was that you weren't locked into a year of kits but then after seeing that Jessica gives you two options to pick from with an additional kit you will fall in love with it!
So back to the LO that I just completed with it.  The picture is of me and my PA from 1973 I was the first grand and great grand child and was completely spoiled!
