How You've Grown (first LO vs Current!)
So here is my very first lo. Don't laugh! I know I am feeling sad for creative memories. How many people were hooked on Scrapbooking because of creative memories with their three dots and stickers.
Oh and my fav..... The corner rounder!!
I have been tempted to take it apart and redo it. But then I like to look back and see how far I have come...... Now here is one i just did for this challenge and of course inspired by the challenges listed below:
Much more balanced don't you think? Plus I have a ton more materials and tools to use. One of the biggest challenges came to me when I bought my cricut. It's funny I don't do chronological so you can see in my albums which tools i bought and when. Lol
And as promised the challenges that inspired me:

Hi, Kimberly! It really is fun to look back to our crafty beginnings. I look at some of my early cards and just howl! I love your layout, Using the pennants was smart and you chose great design papers. Nice color integration as well. I took a moment to look at some of your other layouts and you do really nice work. We are always delighted to see scrap pages in our challenge. Thanks for dropping this off by our house at 613 Avenue Create. We hope you will become a regular visitor!

Sweet LO, it's wonderful to see the progression. It's always tempting to change our first pages. Leaving them as they are create great memories of our own growth in creativity.

So glad you didn't redo them. It's good to see where we started and how much we've grown. I still use my CM corner rounder now and then. Funny that 3 of the DT all featured CM pages as their first ever layouts

Oh wow, we have a very similar first LO! I got started when I went to my first CM party and ended up becoming a consultant. Since then I've grown and changed to CTMH .. but CM was where I began. Love both your LO's this week!
ReplyDeleteAwesome LOs! Your then and now are so different. Its been so much fun seeing how styles have evolved with the time and product available. I have no idea what CM 3 dots are... But Please dont redo your first page, its great documentation...
ReplyDeleteI'm primarily a cardmaker but I still have the same impulse to cringe when I see my older stuff...we are our own worst critics! It's hard not to still love that first page with its subject matter though :) I am loving the veneer heart & bow on your new page! ReplyDeleteI love my corner rounder (still!). I agree, you can't redo your first layouts that is where you were then...plus if you kept redoing them as your style changed, you'd never get any new ones complete!
